Author Rod Smith has spent several decades researching the Irish ancestors of his wife Glennis and his findings have been turned into two books – "Guinness Down Under: the famous brew and the family come to Australia and New Zealand" published in 2018; and "Clancarty: the high times and humble of a noble Irish family", published in September 2024.  He also contributed to "The Book of Minchin" published by American academic Dorothy Minchin-Comm in 2006, Book of Minchin, available from Trafford Publishers and other online suppliers.
